Peacock & Verity
Masham
The past, coming soon
15 Silver Street has been at the heart of Masham for 300 years. We’re transforming it into Peacock and Verity, a community space for the future which celebrates Masham’s past.
It will include a new history centre, a Victorian grocers shop, an Edwardian tearoom, a Post Office counter, and affordable rental flats for local people.
Peacock & Verity isn't open just yet, but we're working hard to bring it back to life.
We need your help!
We need to raise £250,000 in public donations to fully buy the building and continue our work
Since the cameras stopped rolling, we’ve been given an incredible opportunity to fully purchase the building at a much-reduced price. If we can buy the building outright, it’ll release over £1 million in further funding from supporters like the National Lottery so we can continue with our restorations.
Your donation brings us closer to getting Peacock & Verity open and thriving.
What will I be able to do at Peacock & Verity when it’s open?
-

Enjoy the Edwardian tearoom
Step back in time and enjoy a cup of tea in the restored tearoom, and explore curated boxes of history stories, characters, and objects. -

Learn and discover
Take part in a workshop, discover a new skill, and learn about local history. Learn how old stone buildings can be made fit for a low carbon future. -

Send a letter or parcel
We’re bringing a much-needed Post Office counter back to Masham, including banking and all your other digital services.
