15 Silver Street has been at the heart of Masham for the past 300 years. Over the decades the building has been home to a thriving grocers, a busy tearoom, a catering business, and more. Now we’re transforming it into a new space for our community.
We’re restoring the ground floor into a Victorian grocers from the 1850s, when the building was in its heyday, as well as an Edwardian-style tearoom inspired by the cafe which was part of the building in the 1900s. We’re also bringing a Post Office main counter back to Masham and creating a new heritage centre celebrating the story of the town and surrounding area.
Four one-bed rental flats will also be created as part of the redevelopment. They will be managed by Karbon Homes and kept exclusively available for residents with a connection to Masham, providing much-needed affordable homes for local people.
Take a look at our design statement for more information about what will be at Peacock & Verity.
